Registration

Brewster United has been serving the local community since 1978. Brewster United is a member of the East Hudson Youth Soccer League, the Eastern New York Soccer Association, and affiliated with the U.S. Youth Soccer Association.

Registration begins April 6^th, 2013 for the Fall 2013/Spring 2014 season. All Travel and In-House teams play in both the Fall and Spring. Register early, space is limited. Register by May 18, 2013 to take advantage of our early payment discount! All payments must be postmarked by May 18, 2013 to take advantage of the discount. Brewster United relies on volunteers to operate. Please help by volunteering to be on one of our Committees. The formation and placement of teams is only possible with volunteer coaches and assistants.

IN-HOUSE TEAMS - Boys and Girls age 5 - 13. Discounted registration fee if paid in full by May 18, 2013: $99. Fee after May 18, 2013: $120. Registration fee includes uniform.

CLINIC - For Boys and Girls D.O.B. 8/1/07 – 12/31/08
Focus on basic skills development for the beginning player. Practices and games are on Saturdays from 1:00-2:00 pm at the JFK Elementary School fields. Approximately 8 weeks in both the Fall and Spring.

DIVISIONS 1 - 3:
Div. 1 Boys & Girls D.O.B. 8/1/99 – 7/31/03
Div. 2 Boys & Girls D.O.B. 8/1/03 – 7/31/05
Div. 3 Boys & Girls D.O.B. 8/1/05 – 7/31/07

Focus on continuing skills development. Players should expect to practice at least once/week, at the coach's selected time. Games played on Sunday mornings, fields located behind JFK Elementary and the football bleachers. Approx. 8 weeks in both the Fall & Spring.

EQUIPMENT - Shinguards, worn under soccer sock, are mandatory. Cleats are recommended. Uniforms (shirt, short, soccer sock) are included with registration.

TRAVEL TEAMS - Boys and Girls, Under 9 - Under 14. Discounted registration fee if paid in full by May 18, 2013: $290. Fee after May 18, 2013: $315 Uniform is additional and approximately $45.00 - orders will be taken at a later date.

Travel teams offer a competitive level of play and are geared to the dedicated player and parent. Practices will be held 2 times per week, at the coach's selected times. Games are played on Sunday afternoons. You will have 8-10 games in both the Fall and Spring. Attendance at practice is an important part of the Travel team experience for players.

Additionally, travel players are strongly encouraged to participate in opportunities that Brewster United will provide for all travel teams: weekly Fall sessions with a professional trainer, indoor turf practice times in the Winter, and a tournament selected by the team. Travel players will also be expected to assist in fundraising activities to raise money towards Spring sessions with the professional trainer and further tournaments.

Brewster United would like to field teams at all the age levels listed and would like to field teams that will play in the Girls divisions and Boys divisions of the East Hudson Youth Soccer League (EHYSL). However, that depends on getting enough skilled players at each age group and gender and a volunteer coach. Girls are welcome to try out for teams that play in the EHYSL Boys divisions.

ALL TRAVEL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER BEFORE COMING TO TRYOUTS!

All players trying out must upload a digital photo of themselves when they register. Players must also print out, sign, and bring the medical release/registration form to the tryout. Players new to the Travel program must also bring a copy of their birth certificate. Payment is due at the time of the tryout, if not already paid by credit card at the time of registration.

Players that do not make a Travel team will be placed on an In-House team, if desired, and the balance will be refunded. Please do not double register (for both Travel and In-House). A spot on an In-House team is guaranteed for players who do not make a Travel team.
